What can I do to prepare for my roofing project?

Download our What to Expect guide for information on what you can expect when you work with Warner Roofing.

Why is it better to tear off the old roof rather than install a layover roof?

We tear off the old roof to ensure the end result is structurally sound and free of algae, mold or flashing issues. Applying new shingles goes beyond improving the look of the home. It increases the home value and extends the life of the roof.

What type of shingles will be used?

We use Owens Corning shingles as a Preferred Contractor. You may choose to upgrade to Oakridge by Owens Corning dimensional shingles.

Is there a warranty provided?

We are proud to provide our 10-year workmanship warranty. Owens Corning also offers a limited lifetime warranty, once transferrable.

What is ice guard and do I need it?

An ice guard protects roofs from ice dams and snow. It comes standard in all our Cincinnati-area jobs to protect against midwestern winters. Your ice guard will be placed in the valleys and 3’ up all edges of the roof.

Can I have ridge vents instead of box vents on my roof?

A ridge vent is included as part of your estimate. We remove box vents, cover the holes and, if needed, add soffit vent. As a Preferred Contractor, we make sure every roof meets the Owens Corning guidelines of intake and exit for proper air circulation.

I have a satellite dish. Is this a problem?

It’s not a problem at all. We will have to remove the dish from your roof to access the whole roof and reinstall upon completion. Check with your dish provider to see if they are solely responsible for re-installing and aligning your satellite dish.

Can you work on or add skylights?

Yes, we can. We can fix or install new skylights. You will just be responsible for all interior work, additions and repair. We can connect you with a contractor to help complete your project.
